Dr. Prasanta Raghab Mohapatra is a leading pulmonologist and chest physician based in Bhubaneswar, affiliated with AIIMS Bhubaneswar. With foundational training in pulmonary medicine and further specialization in oncology-related respiratory disorders, he brings a strong blend of clinical, teaching and research expertise. In his role as Professor & Head of the Pulmonary Medicine & Critical Care department and as Dean (Academic) of the institution, he oversees both patient care in complex respiratory conditions and the academic training of future doctors. His work covers a broad spectrum—from common pulmonary illnesses to rarer conditions such as melioidosis and NTM infections—and he also plays a key role in guideline development and national respiratory health policy.
