Consultant Haematologist & Haematooncologist
Dr. Maitreyee Bhattacharyya is a distinguished hematologist based in Kolkata, with over 25 years of experience in the field. She holds an MBBS and MD in Internal Medicine, and earned her DM in Clinical Hematology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. Notably, she is recognized as the first DM Hematologist from Eastern India
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Bhattacharyya is actively involved in academic and research activities. She is a Professor and Director at the Institute of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine at Medical College, Kolkata. Her research interests encompass various hematological disorders, and she has contributed to numerous national and international publications. She also holds memberships in esteemed organizations such as the Scientific Advisory Committee of the National Institute of Immuno-Hematology, Mumbai, and serves as the Secretary of the Indian Society of Hematology & Blood Transfusion.
