AIIMS Hospital in Jodhpur, Rajasthan is providing best-in-class services through its OPD and IPD from the day of inception. A patient can avail of doctor consultation and Diagnostic Services in OPD. Along with that, a patient can avail state of the art Indoor patient Services which include advanced surgical procedures like conjoined twins separation, Whipple's procedure, Leino-renal shunts, commando’s procedures, laparoscopic Wertheim's Hysterectomy, Knee and Hip replacements, etc The institute has the distinction of being one of the first institutes in government sector (after AIIMS Delhi) to have successfully performed a conjoined twin separation. It took the contribution and hard work of more than 60 medical personnel to successfully separate and manage the conjoined twins after separation. It is a testament to the rapid growth the Institute has made in the field of health care. The institute has also established minimal access surgery and is quietly pushing the frontiers of MIS both at a state level and nationally. The institute also became the first Institute in Rajasthan to do a laparoscopic Wertheim’s hysterectomy. The institute also was among the first institutes to start neonatal minimal access procedures. Cochlear Implantation for deafness is also being done regularly at the institute. The institute has been steadily consolidating on the foundations laid over the previous years and has been successful in increasing the utilization of the existing resources to the maximum. The future plans for the expansion include expanding the bed strength to 500 beds and to increase the number of operating theatres to ten to allow the Institute to cater to a larger segment of the population.
