Dr. Kaushik Biswas is a Consultant Endocrinologist, attached to Medica Superspeciality Hospital in Kolkata since September 2015. He graduated from RG Kar Medical College, Kolkata, obtaining the MBBS degree in 2006. He completed his postgraduate training for the MD (Medicine) degree, serving as Resident in the Department of Medicine at Medical College, Kolkata, from 2008 to 2011. Dr. Biswas then completed three years of training as Resident in the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism at IPGMER & SSKM Hospital, Kolkata, for the postdoctoral, superspeciality DM (Endocrinology) degree, which he was awarded in 2015.
Dr. Biswas was the recipient of the Young Thyroidologist of India award from the Indian Thyroid Society in 2015. He has co-authored several original articles and case studies, published in Indian and international indexed journals. He presented two posters at the prestigious ENDO-2015 event held at San Diego, USA, in March 2015. Dr. Biswas was associated as a physician in a cholera vaccination programme jointly organised by the International Vaccine Institute (Seoul, South Korea) and NICED (India). He has been a regular participant in national and state-level conferences related to his fields of specialisation, where he has often delivered lectures or made presentations.
